You know, Swastic Hazra isn’t one of those huge, crowded housing complexes. It’s a small, calm, and nicely done project tucked away at 54A Hazra Road — right in the middle of one of Kolkata’s most convenient neighbourhoods. The project is a G+4 building with just 10 apartments, which already tells you it’s built for people who value a bit of peace and privacy. The total area is around 11,000 sq.ft., not massive but thoughtfully used. What I like is that they’ve kept it simple — 2, 3 & 4 BHK flats, all planned to make good use of light, space, and air. Possession is expected in 2025, and from what I’ve seen, the progress looks pretty steady. It’s the kind of building that feels homely, not overly commercial. The sort of place where you’d actually want to come back after a long day. And of course, Hazra Road itself — well, it’s one of those rare spots in South Kolkata that’s right between everything yet somehow still feels a bit residential. You step out, and you’re minutes away from pretty much anything — schools, hospitals, cafes, even the metro. It’s a quiet corner with a pulse.
Let me be honest — what stands out about Swastic Hazra isn’t just the location (though that’s a big plus). It’s how neatly everything’s been planned. The apartments are made to let sunlight in from all sides, and the ventilation is quite good. You won’t feel boxed in. They’ve included what most of us look for these days: 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance, intercom system, car parking, lift, power backup — all the usual things that make life a little easier. But what I liked, personally, is the feel of the building. It’s not flashy, but it has this warm, lived-in kind of vibe. You can tell it’s built with care, not just to sell. Also, the connectivity is just unbeatable. From Hazra, you can reach Ballygunge or Kalighat in minutes. Schools like Modern High, Bhowanipore College, St. Xavier’s, and even malls like Lake Mall or Quest — all are close enough that you won’t need to plan a whole trip. The hospitals around — like AMRI Dhakuria and Belle Vue — make it a sensible choice for families too. It’s quite interesting that despite being in such a central spot, the area doesn’t feel overly noisy. You still get that old South Kolkata charm, with trees, wide lanes, and that easy-going vibe.
Now, I’ll tell you why I think Swastic Hazra actually stands out. It’s small — and that’s a good thing. Only ten families will live here, which means more privacy, less noise, and a better sense of community. You don’t get that in big housing projects these days. Also, the design isn’t overdone. It’s modern but still simple. The apartments are nicely proportioned — not too cramped, not too open — just right for a family that wants comfort without unnecessary show-off. And the materials used (at least from what I saw) seem genuinely good. Honestly speaking, the biggest advantage here is still the location. You step outside, and within five minutes you’ve got schools, hospitals, markets, and metro connectivity. For anyone who’s lived in South Kolkata, that’s a big deal. It’s the kind of convenience you start to appreciate only after you move in. The thing is, projects like these — limited units, great spot, quiet surroundings — don’t come by often anymore. So if you’re someone who values peace but doesn’t want to compromise on accessibility, Swastic Hazra fits right in. It’s got that balanced feel — part city life, part calm retreat. Anyway, from my view, this project has that rare blend of comfort, practicality, and charm. It’s not trying too hard to impress — and maybe that’s exactly why it does.
